SECL is a 214 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Muridke, near Lahore, Pakistan with gas turbines supplied by GE.
The company is a joint venture between Xenel and Sapphire Group with a 30-year offtake from the Water & Power Development Authority of Pakistan on a BOO basis.
The project was financed by a consortium of banking companies led by United Bank limited. Construction started in 2008 and COD was achieved in Nov 2010.
